So lately I have found myself thinking more and more about friendships and the different types of friendship because well, let’s face it – one size does not fit all… You know when you first meet someone and the two of you just click like you’ve been friends forever. That’s what I thought I found lately, and I was really happy, but when others become involved my friend becomes someone completely different, especially with her boyfriend who seems to not like me for, zero reasons. So today I just wanted to talk to you guys about friendship, and signs and if someone is a straight up two-faced bitch.
Healthy and happy friendships are based on common interests, similarities and trust, yep, a real friendship is almost like a relationship. I’m not sure if I’m overthinking as I have been told, but sometimes for your own health and wellbeing it’s time to say goodbye, you have to trust your gut.
Don’t listen to stupid things that people have said, wait and see if you can see that for yourself because chances are, you will. You can also just talk to the person like I did but it just seemed to make it even worse, I have come to find that when my friend wants something from me, wants me to do something for her, even when new PR comes in – which is sad. I wouldn’t have ever said I was being used or taken advantage of because it was like we helped each other out and had each other’s backs but ever since a boyfriend got involved for absolutely no reason at all, I have been able to see all of these things for myself.
I find myself to be a loyal friend. Sometimes a loyal friend is the only thing you need to stay sane or to have someone talk you down from doing something you’d regret. These days, a lot of people don’t know their own neighbors. It’s a shame because some neighbors can be the nicest and most helpful people ever. If you’re on a vacation, and you suddenly realize that you forgot to lock the front door, you can call up your trusty old’ neighbor and ask them to head over to your house and lock it for you. Nice dependable neighbors who have each other’s backs are a dying breed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t introduce yourself to the new neighbors across the street.
I’ve also found its good to have someone who is wise in your life doesn’t have to be someone who shares the same occupation or hobbies with you. It’s simply someone who’s a few steps ahead of you in life and has enough wisdom and patience to guide you in the right direction. It can be anyone — a colleague, a friend who’s beyond their years, or an older neighbor — as long as you look up to this person and want to be more like them or share the same thought process.
SIDE NOTE ➡ Did you know that people without friends are more likely to die an early death?
There are so many different types of friends out there, some that you might not have even known you’d been friends for years until you read this! and hey, I’ll be your friend for sure!
