When you think the house of Guerlain under LVMH you think of luxury makeup mostly with a starting point that the average person would see as to high, Partnering with this amazing company I’m going to take you down the story line of Guerlain, we the exclusive 190 YEARS PR VAULT, I can actually comment on the design of the past with product that they didn’t know at the time would be, revouloutinary in the brands future! To be a simple daydreamer to the name of a globally recognized iconic brand of Guerlain is such an accomplishment ➡️ Beauty lovers of then and beauty lovers of now, this is and always will be yours.
Guerlain has been in the business of luxury and beauty for more than a century. Founded in 1828 by master perfumer Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain, the small business was passed down five generations to become the beauty powerhouse that still stands today. Although they are still renowned worldwide for fragrances like Shalimar, Guerlain is home to products with technology and ideas that have inspired the newest breed of makeup and skin.
Experiencing Guerlain’s products is like a journey through the history of beauty itself, and below are some of the crème de la crème:
When in doubt, start your Guerlain journey with the Rouge G. The unique packaging alone reflects the brand’s flair for subtle touches of opulence, and their vibrant signature colors are made to fit any mood or complexion. Beauty authorities worldwide agree that the Rouge G’s moisturizing, longwearing, and plumping formula has permanently raised the bar for lip products from its release until today.
➡️ For this exceptional lipstick, Guerlain has sealed intense colour and luscious lip care into a jewel formula. Enriched with plant-based polymers and silver microcrystals with a reflective power, this exceptional formula beautifully enhances lips, cloaking them in intense and luminous long-lasting colour. Jojoba and mango butter help to nourish lips, offering them instant and lasting comfort. Hyaluronic acid and gugul resin help to smooth and plump up lips. It’s pretty much what any lady of the house, 9-5 boys, and PR mavens have been wearing for years because it’s so customizable with the case that it truly does become a part of you, your style and your story.
FUN FACT ➡️ I was, believe it or not, was an employee of Guerlain on Queen St, Toronto within the Flagship Hudson’s Bay Company – after a year I left to go to work for Bell Media.
L’Essentiel is the newest of the brands foundation range, with a focus that bare skin is more beautiful, day after day – the formula lets the skin breathe; hydrates, balances and protects the skin from pollution. The complexion is more even; the appearance of imperfections is reduced. Formula dermatologically tested on all skin types, even sensitive skin.
The Cils d’Enfer So Volume takes us back to the seductive powers of a mascara. Brushing this decadently creamy formula on the lashes produces the blackest and most voluminous lashes of your dreams. The lasting power on these are unbelievable as well, thanks to the adhesive oils that prevent smudging and the elastomer brush that completely coats the lashes. When I was a working artist this was one of my staples because I used to hate putting on fake eyelashes but thanks to Cils d’Enfer So Volume I never had to because after only a coat or two lashes looked as if they were false.
Guerlain is a world-renowned perfumery turned makeup and Skincare Company. If you’re looking for a luxury beauty brand, you’ve certainly found it. With stores all over France and products sold in Sephora, Bergdorf Goodman, and Clyde’s, Guerlain guarantees that you’re walking away with something extravagant and lavish if you’ve got your hands on one of the company’s products.
There is something I will leave you to think about ➡️ MXTC is all about uncovering the true quality of beauty products, so feigned goodness in a pretty jar doesn’t impress me. The most obvious issue with Guerlain is their prices. Just one ounce of Guerlain’s famous Jicky fragrance costs $317.00 at Bergdorf. And the Guerlain Success Future Day Care SPF 15 costs $140 for one ounce. Which would be absolutely fine, perhaps even worth the price, considering the Success Future skincare line is formulated to be anti-aging.
Compulsive indulgence, Sephora user said “great…however, I decided to return it after noticing it contains oxlybenzoate…as well as parabens…it’s absolutely a 5 star product if you don’t care about its ingredients…”
I kept falling down the rabbit hole…
There seems to be very little proof that their $1, 700.00 Anti-Aging care does anything special for your skin. Overall, I would have to say save your money and invest it into beauty products that aren’t deceiving or unsafe, and I will say that who I am and who I warn you I am are two completely different and Guerlain will never ask me to work with them again but it isn’t in my blood to say anything for any amount of money, Sadly for me. Guerlain does not post ingredients anywhere on its website. Luckily, Sephora does, but most other retailers that carry Guerlain products do not. However, a quick search Google search of “Guerlain ingredients” brings up several helpful pages, including one that notes the functions of certain Guerlain ingredients, whether they are comedogenic or not, and their safety ratings.
Everything that you’ve read is the truth from the good, and the bad but at the end of the day it is in no way my place to tell you how you should or shouldn’t feel about the company and LVMH. A lot of things are done differently for a company of this age, and within the guidelines of Paris.
